The Bowen Neuromechanics Workshop is a hands-on day for Bowen Therapists who want to bring the nervous system into their work. It’s run by Optimum Performance Academy with the College of Bowen Studies. It looks at the body as one connected system, so you can understand and influence movement, tension and recovery through the nervous system. You don’t need to know any neurology beforehand, and there are only ten places at each event.

The workshop covers six areas: functional movement, range of motion, muscle activation, vision, balance, and proprioception and coordination. It then brings them together into a structured Bowen session. You go home with a workbook, a muscle activation testing framework and tools you can use in clinic straight away, and with more confidence working with clients who aren’t responding. Events are held around the UK and Ireland and cost £150 each.
